Little Miss KnowItAll
Taylor G.
Little Miss KnowItAll lives in a small cottage in Learning Town. Her cottage is shaped like a book, because she loves to read. In her garden, you can find some little flowers planted in a pattern. She is a very organized person, just not someone you’d want to play with. In Little Miss KnowItAll’s house, all you’d be able to see is pencils, books, and a few calculators. She doesn’t even have a kitchen table, there is just a school desk in the middle of her dining room.
One day, Little Miss KnowItAll was sitting in her chair at school. Her best friend, Mr. Tall walked up.
“Would you like to come to my birthday party Miss KnowItAll? We’re going to have cake, balloons, and lots of fun games!”asked Mr. Tall. Little Miss KnowItAll looked at him like he was crazy.
“But Mr. Tall, we have homework to do tonight! I don’t want to get in trouble for not doing my homework!” she thought. Mr. Tall thought for a moment and then replied,
“Well, how about you go home and finish all of your homework and then you come to my party?” Mr. Tall asked. Little Miss KnowItAll nodded and quickly responded with,
“Sure. And I know where you live, because I know everything,” she told him. Then, Little Miss KnowItAll walked off with a smile. She got onto the school bus and spelled the word, PARTY.
Little Miss KnowItAll trotted inside of her house and did her homework. Once she finished, she was off to find a present to give to Mr. Tall at his Birthday party. She dashed to her room and pulled out a pencil, a calculator, and an encyclopedia to give to Mr. Tall.
On her way to Mr. Tall’s house, Miss KnowItAll counted every single step she took. When she got to the party she asked Mr. Tall,
“Did you know that the first birthday party was held in the Balloon Tower and in the city of Partyville?” Mr. Tall knew that his party wouldn’t be very fun if Little Miss KnowItAll kept acting like she knew everything.
The next day, Mr. Tall walked into the classroom and sat down in his chair. The teacher said,
“Hello Mr. Tall. I have noticed that you seem a little bit gloomy and sad. Is there something bothering you?” Mr. Tall looked up and quietly mumbled,
“Well, I had a birthday party last night. During school, I invited Little Miss KnowItAll. She came to my party but she would not stop blurting out facts from her history book. Little Miss KnowItAll wouldn’t stop talking about how smart she was and how she won the Spelling Bee.” The teacher looked up and sighed,
“It looks like you got a serious issue on your hands. I think I have an idea to fix that for you Mr. Tall.”
Little Miss KnowItAll skipped into the room and shouted,
“Hey everybody, I am here and I am ready to learn!” But their teacher took Miss KnowItAll into the hallway with a dictionary. In the hallway, the teacher opened up the dictionary and slammed it right next to Miss KnowItAll’s ear. That magically cured her of bragging about how smart she was. Little Miss KnowItAll walked into the classroom and apologized to everybody for acting like she was smarter than everybody.
